Choosing an LMS for Your Quran Academy: A Practical Checklist
Last updated: October 8, 2026
A Quran academy works differently from a normal school: lessons are often 1-on-1, students and teachers live in different countries, and progress is measured in pages, ayahs and Tajweed rules rather than grades.
Checklist
- Time zone handling for students and teachers, including clock changes
- 1-on-1 and group class scheduling with substitutes
- Progress tracking for Qaida, Nazrah, Tajweed and Hifz (sabaq, sabqi, manzil)
- Monthly fee invoices, discounts and payment records
- Teacher payroll based on classes delivered
- A support channel for teachers
- Parent-friendly reports
Questions to ask the vendor
Ask to see a demo with your real schedule. Ask how they handle a teacher who is absent, a family that pauses for a month and a student who changes country. The answers show quickly whether the system was built for Quran teaching.
What we chose
Rahber Institute uses MadrasaSuite, which was built for exactly these needs. We share this because people running academies often ask us what we use.
